With over 70 wineries in the province visitors and residents alike are lucky in the choice and selection that there is available. Vancouver Island and the neighboring Gulf Islands boast some 29 wineries, cideries and meaderies. Many of these offer restaurant and tour opportunities in season, and are popular tourist destinations as well as important contributors to the success and economic success of the islands. Take a tour around some of the featured wineries and enjoy the taste of British Columbian wines, ciders and meads.

The climate on the island and the surrounding gulf islands lends itself to the successful growing of some of the provinces better know wines and ciders. Local restaurants and bars have joined forces with many of these established vineyards and promote the sale of island grown produce in their respective businesses.
