Pizzeria Prima Strada – Cook Street Village Victoria

Pizzeria Prima Strada – Victoria

If you like traditional wood-fired, thin crust pizzas Italian style, Pizzeria Prima Strada in Cook Street Village is a delight. My friend and I stopped by recently for a casual dinner. We ordered a Margharita from the menu, tomato, Fairburn Farms Mozzarella Di Bufula, fresh basil and seasalt. It was excellent. The staff were friendly, efficient and enthusiastic.

There are some local beers on tap, we enjoyed red wine with our meal. The restaurant was busy however we did not wait long. They also have take out so that you can enjoy at home or office.

Weekday Dining in Victoria with Dave

Dropped in to the Beagle Pub in Cook Street Village  for lunch. The surroundings are bright and clean, patio was glassed in and sunny. My server was Sue. She is courteous, efficient, friendly and knows the menu well.

I chose a Reuben Sandwich with fries. The fries were crisp and not overdone. The Ruben was excellent, Montreal smoked meat, cheese and sauerkraut on grilled dark rye bread. A value meal for sure. Although the Beagle has an extensive lineup of draft including my favorite Driftwood Beers, I had a bottle of MGD.

Take the time to visit the Beagle Pub. An afternoon in the Village on a sunny day with a truly great pub makes for one great experience.  Ask for Sue.
