BC Maple Syrup soon available

BC Maple Syrup up to now has only been available in small quantities on Vancouver Island at the Duncan Maple Syrup Festival just recently held. See the Vancouver Sun article by Mia Stainsby for more info on this.

B.C. set to impose trans fat restrictions

Driftwood Brewery is Victoria’s newest micro brewery so when I saw Driftwood Ale on tap at Bartholomew’s Pub in the Executive House Hotel I ordered a pint.

Wine of the Week

Now that I have developed an appreciation for B.C. Wines I decided it was time to sample a wine made closer to home.
I chose the Saturna Chardonnay 2006 (twist top) which I found on display at the Strathcona Hotel Liquor store for $18.95 (including taxes).
