Lunch around Victoria with Randy

Went out on this past Saturday for lunch with two friends. We decided to visit the Four Mile Pub. This building is a classic. A former way-station located four miles from the harbour. It has become a Victoria landmark. (And is apparently haunted!) The decor is cozy and welcoming. So is the staff. We were lucky enough to be served by Laura. She was friendly and efficient.

And now the best part… The grub! I had fish and chips. Cod to be exact. Now, I have probably eaten fish and chips in just about every restaurant in the Capital Region. I have never tasted fish and chips this good….period. The cod was cooked to perfection,
and the batter was absolutely delicious. Not the slightest bit greasy, as so many are. The fries were fresh and very good. And I have to say a bargain at $9.00! Both of my friends enjoyed their meals just as much as I. One had an Angus Burger and reported it to be one of the best he had had in years. My other friend enjoyed a Reuben sandwich.
Take the time to drive out to the Four Mile Restaurant and Pub. They have recently opened a sports bar on the lower level.

I think you would be hard pressed to find a more congenial location to enjoy you favorite sports event and beverage!

Cheers!
